Between the mysteries of long-lost civilizations and the voice of the stories told, the Silurian project is the very image of a “message in a bottle”. It is like a precious and intangible testimony from an era distant in time, charged with heritage to be passed forward to new generations, while never precisely revealing the nature of the messenger, nor the vocation nor their precise place in time.

This label design project for a vermouth is a thoughtful one, a contemplation of the passing of time, our relationship to the land, but also to our own origin story. The black and white treatment, of great visual simplicity and graphic impact, leads us back to something essential: the fine grained paper and a figurative representation of ancient fossils.
These appear here as if expelled from the soil, from the land, as if to evoke time and remind us that we are but temporarily passing through it.
Evocative and perhaps in confrontation with the passing of time, it is these artifacts from the prehistoric Silurian period, graphic icons from the hills of Torino that Studio Boam decided to highlight at the center of the consumer's visual field.

Silurian Vermouth, a typical Italian “aperitivo” wine, offers an initial visual shock reinforced by a graphic composition stripped of artifice, contrasting with the richness of the generous aromas of the product. The fine sensitivity of the hand drawing and tailor-made typography further support the desired message of universality.
